Help and Support for members

UCU provides support and representation for members involved in disciplinary processes, grievances and other work-related matters. Your membership must be up to date, and if you have only recently joined UCU this may affect your eligibility for support (this does not apply if you are new to qualifying employment).
We have created a set of Casework Principles that set out how we work as caseworkers. You can download them here: Greenwich UCU Casework Principles.
If you have a problem and think you might need casework support, contact our Casework Coordinator at uogucucasework@gmail.com . This email address is a central account shared by all the casework team.
Please note that caseworkers are ordinary branch members who do not always have time allocated in their workload, so we may not be able to offer support for every meeting or issue.
UCU’s Legal Scheme may, under certain circumstances, be able to offer help, but the branch should be your first port of call. For more information please see UCU Legal webpages.
You can also contact Education Support, the national charity providing help and support to professionals in HE and FE.
